Licensed Therapist in New York City

"Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom to choose our response. In our response lies our growth.”

About Me:

I am a licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of experience practicing psychotherapy. I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling at Baruch, City University of New York and completed a post-graduate program specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Association of New York, affiliated with NYU.

In addition to my psychodynamic background, I completed training in cognitive-behavioral therapy at the Beck Institute, as well as specialized coursework in trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based approaches, and grief counseling. My work in grief therapy is informed by training at the Columbia Center for Prolonged Grief and Calvary Hospital.

My previous clinical experiences include working in community-based clinics at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services and Brooklyn Counseling Services.

My Approach to Therapy

My work is grounded in relational and psychodynamic therapy, meaning we explore not just your symptoms, but your patterns, relationships, and deeper inner world.

I also integrate:

  • A humanistic lens that prioritizes compassion and authenticity

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Cognitive behavioral skills and mindfulness-based techniques as needed

While I don’t treat therapy as a one-size-fits-all process, I utilize a psychodynamic framework and integrate other evidence-based approaches when helpful.

Work With Me in Manhattan or Online

I offer individual therapy for adults in:

  • Manhattan (in-person)

  • Anywhere in New York State or New Jersey (via secure telehealth)

Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after time away, I’d be honored to support your journey.
