Psychotherapy for Adults in New York & New Jersey
My sessions are available in person in Manhattan or virtually for clients who reside in NY and NJ.
Types of Therapy:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy focuses on understanding the deeper patterns that shape how you think, feel, and relate to others. Often, experiences from earlier in life, family dynamics, cultural expectations, and generational influences continue to impact present-day relationships, self-esteem, and emotional responses.
In our work together, we will explore these underlying patterns with curiosity and care, helping you make sense of recurring challenges such as overthinking, conflict, or feeling stuck in familiar cycles. By bringing greater awareness to these dynamics, you can begin to shift them and create more intentional, fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Together we will examine how your thoughts influence your emotions and actions-such as in moments of stress. This may also include learning and practicing skills to help you take action steps, at a pace that is both gradual and realistic.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps you develop a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions. If you often feel overwhelmed, caught in overthinking, or disconnected from the present moment, mindfulness can help you slow down and reconnect to the here-and-now. It includes learning to observe your internal experience without judgment, creating space for intentional choice.
Person-Centered/Humanistic Therapy- centers on your lived experience, personal values, and innate capacity for growth. It offers a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore what is meaningful to you. In our work together, we slow things down and explore your experience with curiosity. Person-centered therapy is grounded in the belief that you already have the capacity for growth, insight, and change. Sometimes, that capacity becomes harder to access when are experiencing difficulties.
